These engagements involve representing India's interests in critical deliberations on greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction, ballast water management, alternative fuel adoption, and other technical and safety standards for ships.

Additionally, the Wing plays a pivotal role in shaping market-based measures (MBMs) in shipping, in line with IMO's strategies for GHG reduction and decarbonization, ensuring a sustainable future for the maritime industry. Through its expert contributions, the Wing significantly influences the formulation of global maritime policies and technical standards.
