    • 14+ years with The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI) as Trainee Marine Engineer to Chief Engineer (4+ years).
    • Vessels: Bulk Carriers, Cargo Ships, Container Ships, Oil/Gas/Chemical Tankers.
  • Shore (2009–Present) :
    • 2009–2013 : Technical Superintendent/Deputy General Manager at SCI (Bulk Carrier/Offshore Div., ISM & ISPS Cell).
    • 2013–Present : Engineer & Ship Surveyor cum DDG(Tech) at MMD/DGS.

  • Audits & Compliance :
    • Lead Auditor for ISM, ISPS & MLC.
    • Flag State & Port State Control Inspector.
    • Management Representative of QMS-EAC (DGS).

Engineering Wing
  1. All matters related to ISM implementation and identifying persistent substandard performance by companies/DPs ashore.
  2. In-charge of Near Coastal Voyage Examinations and certification.
  3. All matters pertaining to River-Sea vessels, Coastal vessels, and operational limits of IV vessels.
  4. All matters related to Fishing Vessels including Survey and Certification.
  5. All matters related to Ship Recycling and Hong Kong Convention (HKC).
  6. All Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) related matters.
  7. All matters pertaining to Casualty Investigation concerning the Engineering Wing.
  8. Country Focal Point for IMO GloLitter / RegLitter Projects.
  9. Represent Chief Surveyor in the MLC Compliance Board.
  10. In-charge of matters related to Ballast Water Management (BWM) and Anti-Fouling Systems (AFS) Conventions.
  11. Responsible for approval of plans and drawings pertaining to the Engineering Wing.
  12. All matters pertaining to IMO-Pollution Prevention & Response (PPR) in consultation with DyCS (1).
  13. Implementation and monitoring of transition to the new website & e-Samudra system for assigned responsibilities, in consultation with DyCS (2).
  14. Any other matter as may be assigned by the Chief Surveyor.
