The International Cooperation Branch serve as the nodal agency for all matters related to the negotiation and finalization of agreements and treaties concerning security cooperation and mutual legal assistance. The Branch also acts as the focal point within the Ministry of Home Affairs for engagements with regional forums such as SAARC, BIMSTEC, and ASEAN. Additionally, it coordinates the clearance process for all Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements signed with foreign countries, and facilitates bilateral dialogues and meetings at the level of the Minister of Home Affairs and Home Secretary.

  • Process cases and proposals related to official foreign visits of dignitaries within the Ministry.
  • Manage proposals for the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and Agreements with foreign countries or organizations, ensuring implementation through the signing of Protocols and Work Plans, and organizing Joint Working Group meetings.
  • Process travel bills for payments concerning official visits abroad by dignitaries and officials.
  • Oversee the payment of annual membership fees to international organizations.
  • Coordinate and promote initiatives related to Green Shipping.
