Dr. Deepankar Sinha
Professor & Head, Dept. of International Trade Operations & Logistics, IIFT KolkataDr. Deepankar Sinha is a Professor and Head of the Department of International Trade Operations & Logistics, Research Division & Centre for Trade Facilitation and Logistics at IIFT Kolkata. He currently serves as Guest Editor for Global Supply Chain Management and Foreign Trade Review.
He holds a PhD in Industrial & Systems Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, along with qualifications in MBA, Operations Research (ORSI), and Information Technology. With over 20 years of industry experience in ports and shipping, and more than 17 years in academia, his expertise encompasses global logistics, international trade operations, and systems engineering.
He has authored three books, published over 60 research papers in reputable international and national journals, and holds two patents. A recipient of six prestigious awards from organisations like IAPH, IEOM, IIM Lucknow, and NIQR. Dr. Sinha has also been recognised by SMPK and ISTD for excellence in logistics education.
He has provided advisory support to various ministries including the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, as well as industry leaders such as ADB, EY, GAIL, and HPCL. As a sought-after speaker, he has delivered invited talks at forums including CILT, IEOM, CII, and LPAI.
His research expertise covers methodologies such as DEA, SEM, OR, Systems Dynamics, Simulation, and Data Analytics. He has presented at international conferences including INFORMS, EURO, AIB, and INDAM.
Raghuveer Negi
Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), KolkataRaghuveer Negi is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Kolkata, specializing in International Trade Operations, Shipping & Logistics, and International Business Strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in International Business from Alagappa University, with research focused on India's engineering exports.
Dr. Negi brings a unique blend of academic and industry experience, having previously worked as an Export Merchandiser and as a Research Assistant at MDI Gurgaon. He has published research in reputed journals such as Thunderbird International Business Review, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Global Business Review.
Actively engaged in executive training and consultancy, he has contributed to programs for organizations like TVS Motors, Indian Air Force, HPCL, and UCO Bank, and has offered expertise to government agencies including the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai and Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.
