- Responsible for all matters concerning Approval of Maritime Training Institutes for Engineering courses, including STCW and IMO-HTW matters.
- Manage all matters related to the issuance of I/10 endorsements for Foreign COC's.
- Handle all matters regarding IN-MN Transition and certification with assistance from Shri Mahesh Korade (E&SS).
- Oversee all matters related to public grievances and vigilance (PG Portal, DGS Feedback, Tweet).
- Supervise implementation and monitoring of the transition to the proposed new website & e-Samudra system in the respective areas of responsibility in consultation with DyCS (2).
- Manage all aspects of the transition to the new examination system.
- Handle any other matter as assigned by the Chief Surveyor.
