Meeting of Indian Delegation with Director General, Aviation, Maritime and Security Group in the Department for Transport, UK.

Members of Indian Delegation led by Shri Shyam Jagannathan, IAS, Director General of Shipping, GoI met Dr Rannia Leontaridi, Director General, Aviation, Maritime and Security Group in the Department for Transport at IMO Hqs. After exchange of pleasantries for election of both the Countries to IMO Council various issues were discussed including, Joint security workshop, Search and rescue, MRCC programs, Technical connect, cyber security, No intrusion between contractual obligations between parties, Examination platforms, globally best practices, Seafarers rights issues, Port reception and welfare facilities, Ports and just in time, green ports, Collaboration with Maritime international law, Assist in SPO, JPO at IMO from India, and outreach collaboration with casualty investigation, root cause analysis & lesson learnt reports.
