Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC)
The Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC) is responsible for matters related to the transport of packaged dangerous goods, solid bulk cargoes, bulk gas cargoes, and containers. Its work includes maintaining and updating the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. The Sub-Committee also reviews and updates other relevant instruments, such as the International Code of Safety for Ships using Gases or other Low-Flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code) and the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk (IGC Code). In carrying out its work, the CCC Sub-Committee works closely with other United Nations bodies involved in the multimodal transport of goods.
