Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW)
The Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW) focuses on the human aspects of shipping. Its responsibilities include matters related to training and certification, the review and revision of IMO model courses, and the development of guidance on issues such as seafarer fatigue.
The Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping held its eleventh session at IMO Headquarters in London (in-person with hybrid participation) from 10 to 14 February 2025. The meeting was chaired by Mr. H. Storhaug (Norway).
