Implementation of IMO Instruments (III)
The Sub-Committee on Implementation of IMO Instruments (III) brings together flag, port, and coastal States to address issues related to the implementation of IMO instruments. Its work includes reviewing consolidated audit summary reports from the mandatory IMO Member State Audit Scheme. The Sub-Committee plays an important role in casualty investigation by analyzing marine incidents and issuing lessons learned. It also collects and evaluates port State control data, monitors port State control procedures, and oversees guidelines for survey and certification, including those under the Harmonized System of Survey and Certification (HSSC).
The eleventh session of the Sub-Committee on Implementation of IMO Instruments (III), was held from 21 to 25 July 2025, chaired by Mr. Xie Hui (China), with Mr. Regi John (United Kingdom) as Vice-Chair.
